Title VI Indian Education Program

The Title VI program works in conjunction with the vision of the Eau Claire Area School District - "All children in the district are prepared for post-secondary success."  The program is meant to help our American Indian students increase their academic success and graduation rates.

Parent Facilitator-Special Education

Lauri’s role is to is to provide education, technical assistance, and support promoting collaboration among parents/families, educators, students, and community and/or governmental agencies to ensure that all children with disabilities have available to them a free appropriate public education under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). 

American Indian Education Coordinator

Maggie Jensen, Email
Maggie’s role is to advocate and communicate the needs of American Indian students in the school district.  She works with American Indian students who are eligible for the Title VII program and acts as a liaison for families and the school district, connecting them to community resources. 

Community School Liaison

Blia Schwahn, Email
Blia, a proud North High school graduate, is the district’s School/Community Liaison.  As the School/Community Liaison, Blia promotes cultural bridges between the ECASD schools, Hmong students, and their parents. 

Homeless Program Coordinator

Under the direction of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, Danielle’s role is to ensure that homeless children and unaccompanied youth attending ECASD have equal access to educational programs provided to non-homeless children and youth.
