Reformation Wall in Geneva, Switzerland

Erected in 1909 to mark the 400th anniversary of the birth of John Calvin & the 350th anniversary of the foundation of Geneva’s Academy, a famous Protestant school, the wall stretches 100 meters & contains Protestant figures from throughout Europe. This photo contains statues of the 4 leaders of the Reformation in Geneva: Guillaume Farel, Jean Calvin, Théodore de Bèze, & John Knox. The monument is flanked by memorials to Martin Luther & Ulrich Zwingli.
