Student Council (STUCO) is the student government at Memorial. Members of Student Council must be in good school standing and complete the application process in order to become members. Class Presidents and Executive Board memebers are selected by a voting process. STUCO represents students’ interests in regular Student Council meetings and meetings with administration to address student concerns, issue grants, and to organize activities that promote school spirit. We host many different events throughout the year to either help the school or community (such as Music Fridays, Club Rush, Homecoming Carnival, and the spring American Red Cross Blood Drive). We also host school events to raise funds to help support our grant program (such as school dances: Homecoming, Winter Formal, Prom). Student Council applications for the next school year will be available each spring and fall. Applications will be available in the commons. Applications must be submitted by the due date in order to be eligible for an interview. Interviews for Student Council applicants will be completed with an executive board member in the Commons. Grant $ Available: Student Council uses its financial resources to assist students, clubs, teachers, and staff.
