Lettering Design

This is the students' very first 7th grade art project. Students embellish their sketchbooks with their name and hour while using what they know about 2-point perspective.

By the end of this project students will know/ be able to....

1. Correctly use 2-pt perspective

2. Create the element of value (shading) using colored pencil.

3. Use their space in a creative and effective manner.

4. Begin improving their drawing skills using sketch lines, contour lines, and gesture lines.

5. Recognize that using perspective in a work of art creates depth.

Students will have 5 sketchbook assignments for this project. Examples of each of these are found below.
