Choir

Music can change the world because it can change people. ~Bono

Welcome to another year in DeLong Middle School Choir! The Delong Choir Classroom is a place where students grow in relationship with others, explore the human experience, grow in character, cultivate their musicianship, and share with others through the world of music. Choir is a great place where students learn to work with others and work hard.  Building classroom community and work ethic are two important components of our classroom, and we look forward to sharing music together as the year progresses.

Kyle Hammers will teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade choir.

Students in choir have the opportunity to perform many times throughout the school year such as the annual Veteran’s day program, a tour to the elementary schools, the DeLong Variety show and their Winter and Spring Concerts. All students also have the opportunity to join Singing in Wisconsin, the Middle Level Invitational Choir, or the District Solo and Ensemble Contest.

All concerts begin at 7:00p.m. in the Auditorium
Concert dates for the 2023-24 school year are:

6th grade:  Dec. 7 & May 9
7th grade:  Dec. 21 & May 23
8th grade:  Nov. 16 & May 21

Students must attend their grade level concert, and wear black pants, dark shoes, and dark socks with their choir t-shirt purchased at the beginning of the year.

Please feel free to contact either one of us with any questions as the year progresses!
