Applying for Head Start

Who Can Apply

• Families that qualify for the program (Head Start Qualifiers & Income Guidelines)
• Families with a child who is 3 or 4 on or before Sept 1st
• Residents of Eau Claire
• Non-residents may apply through open enrollment

When to Apply

• Enrollment opens early February for the next school year.  Applications for the next school year are not accepted until the February enrollment date.  Parents are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
• Parents may apply at any time for the current school year. Applications continue to be accepted throughout the school year for late enrollees. 

How Does Head Start Work In Eau Claire
A) A half day Head Start program is offered through the Eau Claire Area School District for 3 and 4 year olds (Located at Prairie Ridge Early Learning)
*Bussing Provided

B) A full day Head Start program is offered at Western Dairyland
