Hi Families!!
Welcome to First Grade! I’m so excited to be teaching as a Flynn Flyer! I have been employed with the Eau Claire district since 2003.  I’ve taught in Alaska and Wisconsin; Pre-K, kindergarten and first grade! We lived in AK almost 10 years to the day so I have a lot of stories!
 
My husband, Jake and I have two children, Jerad will be attending CVTC and Mackenzie is a junior at Eleva-Strum High school. We enjoy family time and a lot of outdoor activities. This summer we spent time camping and boating. We’re looking forward to snowmobiling this winter!

Things to Remember:
· At 8:25 a.m. the playground is supervised and breakfast begins. Your child may play or come for breakfast at that time.
· School starts at 8:40 and ends at 3:40 each day.  We want your child at school when the first bell rings.
 
Home School Folder
The blue home/school Flynn folder will come home each day with a MY WEEK sheet.  On it you will find news of special activities and homework assignments.  This year all special classes (P.E., music, and art) will follow a rotating schedule so please refer to the MY WEEK sheet for information on which days your child needs to wear gym shoes. I will check this sheet each morning so it is a great place to write notes or ask any questions you may have.  Sign the MY WEEK sheet each night and keep it in the folder.  Also, please take a  minute with your child to go through any notes or math homework and remove papers that are on the home side.  Every Friday, your child will bring home a new MY WEEK sheet.
 
Snacks
We are counting on families to fill in the snacks with a shared cracker snack.  When you receive a snack note please send 1 box of graham crackers to school with your child. Thanks!!
