The Alliance mobilizes Eau Claire County residents to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and other drug misuse. As a result, residents improve the lives of children, youth, and adults through local activism. The Alliance hopes to see a community culture free from alcohol, tobacco, and other drug misuse.

The Eau Claire City Council voted unanimously to include vaping and e-cigarettes to the ban on indoor smoking on August 11, 2020. Chapter 8.05 and  Chapter 9.38

The City of Altoona has included electronic devices in their smoke-free indoor spaces ordinance 8.06

Local Hospitals ATOD Resources & Supports

Prevea Behavioral Health: At Prevea Health Behavioral Care they provide outpatient individual and group care for substance use disorders. Prevea has providers located at their Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls and Altoona sites that provide individual counseling for patients ages 14 and older. Prevea's group programming for substance use disorders is only for adults 18 and older and is located at their Chippewa Falls site. 
Mayo Clinic: Mayo has a "Transitions" program offered in addition to outpatient counseling and psychotherapy provided by their clinical substance abuse counselors and psychiatrists. The Transitions program runs weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Eau Claire. Individual patient needs and response to treatment determines the "length of stay" of how long individuals attend the program. Participants receive instructional lecture, DBT skills training and application, group and individual therapy, family meetings, safety planning and medication management. Here is a phone number for the program you can provide 715-838-3417 in addition to the weblink.

211 Wisconsin: Statewide resource for finding substance use treatment and recovery services. The helpline is free, confidential, and available 24/7.
Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) Alliance for Substance Misuse: Alliance began a quarterly newsletter to keep parents and guardians informed on drug and alcohol trends, information on new or popular substances, resources to help guide how to have conversations with children about these substances, and much more.
