Attendance Guidelines

If your child will be absent from school, it is important that you do the following:
•    Call the school site your child attends and let them know of your child’s absence as soon as possible or excuse their absence in your Skyward account.
•    If you child is on a school bus route, also contact Student Transit (715)839-5116.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES FOR STUDENT ATTENDANCE

In order for your child to get the most out of school, it is important that your child comes to school every day on time.

Excused absences:
•    Student Illness
•    Funeral
•    Religious Holiday
•    Professional or court appointments
•    Student or family crisis
•    Family trip (approved in advance by school principal)
•    Special circumstances that show good cause for absence (approved in advance by school principal)

Tips for good attendance:

•    Inform the school as soon as possible of an upcoming absence. 

•    Please schedule doctor’s appointments, vacations, etc. before or after school hours, if possible.

•    Provide a note to the school from a professional appointment, if possible

•    Inform the school as early as possible if you child needs to leave school early

•    Please contact your child’s school any time to discuss potential attendance issues and solutions

•    If a student has more than 5 absences, the family will be contacted to develop a plan to improve attendance for the remainder of the school year
