Address Changes

If your address has changed, please email proof of new residency to enrollment@ecasd.us. We accept documentation such as (only one of the following):

Utility bill (gas/electric, water, garbage, internet)
Lease agreement
USPS change of address form
Mortgage or property deed
Insurance document
Driver's license
Verification of social services

Transfer Request to an Alternate School

Per District Policy 5120, students shall attend the school located within the attendance boundary of their primary residence.
A student may transfer to a school outside their normal attendance boundary for defined and documented educational reasons. Such transfers will be handled according to the following guidelines.

Alternate School Requests may be considered when one of the below criteria are met. Supporting documentation (where applicable) must be provided for the request to be considered.

Legal: A signed contract, court ruling, or evidence of victimization within legal documents (provide documentation).
Continuous Enrollment: Students may finish current grade level once school year has begun.
Medical: Documentation from a medical provider that explains why attending a specific school is required based on medical need (provide documentation).

If the request is granted, it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to provide transportation to and from school including prompt arrival and pick up. Every year, the alternative school requests are reviewed and could be revoked if attendance, grades, behavior, etc. are not satisfactory.

Note: If your child had an approved alternate school request to complete the year at their current school after a move, they will be automatically transferred to their new neighborhood school for the upcoming school year unless an additional alternate school request is submitted.
