Q: Where and when will NEO take place?

A: NEO will take place at North High School from August 18-20. Please refer to the NEO brochure for a more detailed list of times and events.

 

Q: When will I be able to get into my classroom?

A: Once you get badge access on Day 1 of NEO, you’ll be able to get into your building and access your classroom.

 

Q: Where can I get my badge?

A: If you need a badge, we encourage you to stop by the District Office (500 Main Street, Eau Claire) starting on June 8 and before orientation to set your badge up.

  • Open Monday–Thursday, 7 AM–5 PM 

  • No appointment needed—just enter through Door 1 

  • Be ready for a quick photo! The process takes 5-10 minutes. 

  • You’ll receive your badge on the first day of orientation, August 18.

  • If you have any questions regarding whether you need a new badge or an updated badge, please do not hesitate to contact us at 715-852-3001. 

 

Q: Is there anything specific I need to bring to NEO?

A: You’ll receive your laptop on Day 1; however, if you’d like to bring a notebook and writing utensil, that would be fine! You also want to make sure that you bring your I-9 documents on Day 3.

 

Q: What is acceptable documentation for my I-9?

A: Bring original documents (not copies) for your I-9 form on August 20. Acceptable combinations include: 

  • One unexpired passport, or 

  • One unexpired driver’s license and a birth certificate, or 

  • One unexpired driver’s license and a Social Security card

Q: Is there anything else I can fill out ahead of time?

A: Yes, you can also complete the TB Test Questionnaire Form

 

Q: What is the dress code for NEO?

A: The dress code for NEO is professional and appropriate for a workplace environment. Business‑casual attire is recommended, and jeans are acceptable as long as they are clean, neat, and presentable.

 

Q: How will I get paid for NEO?

A: Hourly employees will be paid their standard hourly rate. Certified employees will receive a stipend of $50 for a half day or $100 for a full day. All employees must sign in each day to ensure their time is accurately recorded.

 

Q: If I have a food allergy, what should I do for lunch on Day 1?

A: Please make sure to let either the HR Generalist you worked with know or contact humanresources@ecasd.us. We will make sure there is an option available for you.

 

Q: What if I need a pumping accommodation?

A:  If you are a nursing mother, please make sure to let either the HR Generalist you worked with know or contact humanresources@ecasd.us. We will make sure there is a space available to you.

 

Q: Do I need to attend NEO if I already attended an onboarding?

A: You most likely will not need to attend all of NEO, but there will still need to be certain aspects you attend. Please contact the HR Generalist you worked with during the hiring process for your modified schedule.

 

Q: How do I enroll in or decline benefits?

A: On Day 3 of NEO, the Payroll and Benefits team will deliver a comprehensive presentation on your benefits options. Following the presentation, you will receive a checklist to complete, where you can choose to enroll in or decline benefits
