Welcome to Sherman Steering Committee!

Our Mission

The Sherman Steering Committee (SSC) is a non-profit 501(c)3 parent-teacher organization for the school. This committee is very similar to your common PTA/PTO groups. Our ultimate goal is to help the students in any way we can. Throughout the school year we raise money which is used to fund school programs including field trips, the Spooktacular Halloween Party, the fifthgrade picnic, the year-end celebration and more.

Join the fun!

The SSC is made up of parents, caregivers and staff members who are passionate about making your child(ren)’s experience at Sherman Elementary the best it can be. However, we cannot do this alone! We meet the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30-6:30pm in the library. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to join!
