It is with great excitement that I welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year at Roosevelt Elementary!  Roosevelt has been known for its tight-knit community of hard-working families, highly-dedicated staff members, and amazing kids.  I am thrilled to once again have the opportunity to serve as your principal this school year!

Roosevelt Elementary School is comprised of approximately 260 students, 40 staff members, and a strong network of very supportive families, community partnerships, and a very active PTA.  Established in 1954, we are nestled on the northwest side of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  As a neighborhood school, many of our students are able to walk or ride their bikes to school each day.  We offer before and after school childcare as well as a nutritious breakfast program. 
 
At Roosevelt Elementary, our mission is to “educate our community in a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment.”  We support this belief by working alongside families and our community to meet the needs of all of our learners, with a collective focus on pride, respect, and responsibility. Our staff is dedicated to providing our students with high-quality instruction in a positive and welcoming environment to ensure their social, emotional, and academic success. 

As parents, you play an integral role in the education of your child. Your involvement in your child’s education will help them feel more confident as a student and experience more success. Please check with your child each day to see if any papers were sent home directed for you. Often the notes we send home contain important information about deadlines for aspects of your child’s school program such as: field trips, programs, and after school events. Also, please do not hesitate to call us or send a note in your child’s Home/School Communication Folder if you think there is something important for us to know about your child.
