Northwoods elementary is located on the Northeast part of beautiful Eau Claire, WI. Northwoods Elementary School was built in 1994 and has been an integral part of this community ever since. Our student population is primarily Caucasian with less that 10% of the population is made up of Asian Pacific Islander, Black, Hispanic or American Indian Alaskan. Fifteen percent of our students are in need of special education. We are the cluster site for children with significant handicapping conditions. Approximately 38% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunches. Approximately 60 staff members serve the students at Northwoods to provide services for all children to be successful.  The school day runs from 8:40-3:40.Test Content

From the west side of Eau Claire Take HWY 312 ( the North Crossing) Stay on this as you travel east. Once across the Chippewa River and you will go under HWY 53. Once past HWY 53 you will come to a set of stop lights ( 3rd set) and you will make a right onto McKinley Road. Watch for the road sign for this. Proceed about 2 blocks to Northwoods Lane where you will make a right and the school is immediately in front of you.
Coming from the south side of Eau Claire Get on Clairemont ave ( HWY 12) and proceed east towards Altoona or Fall Creek. (Landmarks are going past Memorial High School and K Mart.). You will see signs for HWY 53 exit north. Take the new 53 By-Pass that will take you to HWY 312. Take exit 90 for HWY 312. At the stop lights turn left on HWY 312 and continue to the 2nd set of stop lights. This is McKinley Rd., watch for the sign. Proceed about 2 blocks to Northwoods Lane where you will make a right and the school is immediately in front of you.

Coming from the north side of Eau Claire Take the HWY 53 bi-pass until you come to the intersection for HWY 312. Take the exit for HWY 312 going west towards Eau Claire and HWY 53 ( exit 90). Once on 312 continue to the 1st set of stop lights. This is McKinley Rd. You will make a sharp left and proceed about 2 blocks to Northwoods Lane where you will make a right and the school is immediately in front of you.
