Prior to attending UW-Eau Claire, Coach Sturgis spent his youth in Bruce, WI.  He then graduated in 2007 with a degree in Kinesiology from UWEC.  Coach Sturgis is now finishing up a Master’s Degree in Physical Education - Adventure Education from UW-LaCrosse.  During his time at UWEC, he competed in football and track. He and his wife Stephanie have a 5 year old daughter, Emmarie, and another bundle of joy, Natalie, born in June of 2016.  Coach Sturgis relaxes by spending time in the field pheasant hunting with his two Weimaraners, Marvin and Dino.
