A message from the athletic office.....

North High School offers twenty-two different varsity sports for students, as well as many junior varsity and freshman teams.  As a charter member of the Big Rivers Conference (BRC), the North Huskies compete within the framework of the WIAA as well as competing against non-conference and out-of-state teams.  To learn more about the BRC or WIAA, please use the following links:

The athletic program at North High School is driven by the motto of North High School: “Pride in Excellence.”  Research confirms that participating in athletics and adhering to the Athletic Code has a positive impact on academic performance, school attendance, and social decision making. Through athletics, our student-athletes learn how to function effectively as a member of a team and to make a positive contribution by encouraging responsibility, by fostering persistent effort, and by promoting self-awareness.

Our athletic programs are an extension of the school day.  Being a member of a school sponsored program such as athletics helps students have a stronger connection to their school and community. These connections to school including additional responsibilities and expectations placed on student athletes, have proven to help students do better in the classroom, in athletic competition, and within our community.

The support that our student athletes receive from families, alumni, and friends of Husky Athletics is greatly appreciated.  It serves to inspire our teams to greater accomplishment.  The good sportsmanship displayed by our fans is a credit to our athletic program and our school!  We thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
