It’s so fun to talk with North staff members who are also alumni, and we’rNorth High School Alumni Eau Clairee very fortunate to have so many in our building today!

Steve Olinger, Library Media director (not pictured)
Class of 1976
Favorite teacher: Carol Sobota (now Spenser). Favorite memory: Belonging to the Thespians Club and playing Mr. Lundy for 3 sold out performances of “Brigadoon!”
Judy Lake, Health Care assistant
Class of 1980
Favorite teacher:  Kathy Braaton, Wayne Halberg and Howard Lehman, but all were great! Favorite memory: Lots of great memories and great teachers!
Pam Bunge, Spanish teacher
Class of 1985
Paul Haslow, Math teacher
Class of 1988
Andrew Patrie, English teacher
Class of 1993
Favorite teacher: Mr. David Sampson (English) although I can think of several great teachers I had back then.
Molly Garrison Thorp, Special Ed. teacher
Class of 1993
Favorite memory: Setting the alarm clock to go off in another Chemistry class … 3 times!
Sam Erickson, Math teacher
Class of 1994
Favorite teacher: Mr. Sweeney and how goofy he was, plus his reggae music!
Laura (Dittner) Hatleli, Secondary office assistant
Class of 1996
Favorite teacher: Ms. Hagmann who taught Japanese. We would call her Hagmann sensei.  I always remembered trying sushi for the first time in her class and doing group outings to Tokyo restaurant.
Missy (Alley) Cesafsky, Special Ed. teacher
Class of 98
Favorite memory: Senior Hall, Sports, Paw Shop, German Pretzels, German class, DECA State. All of senior year!
Trisha Yates, Math teacher
Class of 1998
Favorite Teacher: Ms. Margie Craemer. It was her love for teaching math and her genuine concern for her students that guided me to become a teacher. I love that I get to be her coworker now!
Laura (Amundson) Rothstein, Special Ed. teacher
Class of 2001
Favorite teacher: I had a lot of favorite teachers, but Mr. Parks and Mr. Carpenter are high up on my list and it’s great that I get to work with them now. They never would’ve believed that I would be back teaching! Other teachers that were awesome were Mr. Sweeney, Mr. Nesbit, Mr. Fisher, Mrs. Doughty and Ms. Davis. I loved playing in the band – especially pep band! I had a blast in high school!
Kevin Mesiar, Science teacher
Class of 2006
Favorite teacher: Dave Reidt (Counselor). Favorite memory: Too many to pick, but one that always hits me deeply is when our Principal, Mr. Tom Fiedler, gave me his home computer because I did not have access to technology and came to school early to work in the IMC. That generosity and attentive form of leadership, to this day, shaped very much of who I am. I was a Northernaire and also a representative on Student Council during my high school years! Ms. Travis, who was fresh out of college and into teaching at that time, was one of my advisors for Student Council my senior year.
Ashley Nichols, English teacher
Class of 2009
Favorite memory: My favorite memory was partaking in the Marketing/DECA program with Mr. Maier. The skills I gained through the DECA club challenged me in many ways that prepared me for the professional world. The DECA mall not only made for a fun week at school, but it also taught me how to develop long term goals through proper planning and hard work.
Carly Sigears, School secretary
Class of 2009
Favorite memory: When the 2009 boys basketball team won the game to go to state. Andy Kleist hit a full court shot at the buzzer to tie the game, and then the Huskies won in overtime. He made ESPN top ten for that shot too!
Michael Schwiebert, Science teacher
Class of 2010
Favorite memory: I was very lucky to be on the Forensics team headed by Mrs. Bonnie Knight and Mrs. Danielle Richardson. Forensics season was the highlight of the year, and I wish I had joined before my sophomore year! BK and Richie poured so much time and effort into us, and it really showed. We were proud to represent NHS, and we were extremely blessed (whether we realized it at the time or not) to be given a chance to foster our voices.
