Our School Resource Officer is a police officer from the Eau Claire Police Department assigned to a school as a liaison between the school district and the police department. SROs support school personnel and students with resources that promote academic success and improve school climates. SROs are also responsible for crisis management, community policing, school security, and conducting student-related investigations. 

Meet Officer Cullen
Mike Cullen graduated from Concordia St. Paul with a double major in Criminal Justice and Communications. He has been with the Eau Claire Police Department for 7 years and will be completing his first full year as an SRO this year. He also works with Delong’s partner Elementary Schools (Lakeshore, Longfellow, Roosevelt and Sherman) as well as Early Learning Program Prairie Ridge. Officer Cullen works with building administration and staff to make sure their building is as safe as it can be in the changing world as we learn from past and current events. He also works to deescalate children that are in crisis mode as well as link up with families to answer questions and provide them with proper resources. Officer Cullen belongs to several specialties within the ECPD to include The Tactical Response Team, Peer Support Team, Crisis Intervention Team, Force Options Team and is a Police Training Officer. In his free time Officer Cullen enjoys golfing, watching his favorite sports teams and coaching North Football.
