High School Challenge

Advisor: Seeking Advisor

High School Challenge is open to any student who enjoys academic competition and the pursuit of trivia.  This club begins in the fall and students may be asked to tryout for the traveling team.  Practices are weekly and we challenge teams of teachers to a battle of the brains!  Our competitions take place in Winona, MN at St. Mary’s in late fall.  If the team wins a berth at the Super Challenge (often in February) we will compete on TV against other winning teams.  Come join us!

The North High School Challenge Team (formally known as High Quiz Bowl) took home the tri-state championship trophy on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at St. Mary's University of Minnesota.  This was the first time in school history that North achieved this distinction.  Team members Hayley Barrickman, Bethany Blount, Laura Hamilton, Meghan Marquardt, and Scott Smith were a class act and a dominating force.  The team conquered LaCrosse Aquinas (previous champions two years running), Onalaska, and LaCrescent on their way to victory.

The 2009 Champions challenge future North High Teams to grab their own glory and represent our school with irrepressible Husky Pride!
