MHS Graduation Updates for the Class of 2023

CLASS OF 2023 GRADUATION  

The 2023 Memorial High Commencement Ceremony will take place on Thursday May 25^th, 2023, at 7:00 pm. Weather permitting, graduation will be held outdoors in front of the school with picnic style seating available for families in numbered assigned seating. We ask that families bring their own chairs and blankets to view the ceremony. There will be limited first come, first serve seating available in the auditorium for family members unable to be seated outdoors. The event will be live streamed for those family members in the auditorium or at home to enjoy.  

What Do I need to Graduate? 
Students must complete all of the required coursework to be eligible for Graduation. Seniors must complete the following before they will be given wristbands for Graduation. 
1. Pick up their Caps and Gowns from Jostens if ordered (Students are welcome to use former MHS graduates caps and gowns as well)
2.Complete the Senior Checkout form given at the Senior Class Meeting.
3. Pay the $10 graduation fee when turning in their completed checkout form. 
4.Attend Rehearsal the morning of Graduation. If you are not at Rehearsal you will not be allowed to walk in the evening.  Wristbands will not be handed out until after Rehearsal.  
5. Turn in your Senior Checkout Ticket to recieve your Graduation Wristbands. 

What Should I Wear to Graduation? 
 Students should wear dress pants, dress shirts, dresses, skirts, and dress shoes. Please no shorts, jeans, flip flops, or tennis shoes.Extremely informal attire such as shorts, jeans, and t-shirts are not appropriate for this event. As the graduation is outdoors, students should also make sure to wear weather appropriate attire. The graduation will only be moved indoors due to extremely inclement weather.

How Do I Get Tickets?

There will be no tickets needed if the graduation ceremony is held outside.  In the case of inclement weather, each graduate will receive 2 tickets for family members. 

When Do I Get My Diploma? 

Graduates will recieve their Diploma Cover at Graduation. Starting on Monday, June 19^th, 2023, diplomas will be available for pick up in the Student Services office between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The graduate or their parents are the ONLY people who will be allowed to sign for and pick up the diploma.
