Poetry Out Loud® brings poetry to life. This program invites high school students nationwide to engage in an energetic poetry recitation competition, aimed at enhancing their public speaking abilities, building their confidence, and deepening their understanding of literary history and contemporary issues. Memorial High School will send two participants to the regional competition, where they will memorize and perform two classic and/or contemporary poems. Those who excel will move on to the state competition and could even secure a place in the national finals.
