Welcome to Manz Elementary School! Home of the Mustangs!
Manz has a rich tradition in Eau Claire and has served students in our community for over 50 years! Here at Manz, we pride ourselves on creating a school where every student is excited to learn and grow. Positive relationships is the core at what we do and Manz and we work hard to develop and nature these relationships each day with both the students and families we serve.
At Manz, we believe in the development of the whole child. The whole child is someone who has social, emotional, and academic skills needed to take on what’s next. We also know that it takes years, and for some skills, decades of experiences and learning to develop. For this reason, our approach is “yet” and a “growth mindset” to so much of what we do. When it comes to learning new material, students are provided with many different opportunities to both practice and show us what they know. Through both formative (daily) and summative (end of the unit) assessments, students and teachers collaborate on their learning.
When it comes to the emotional and social skills required to be lifelong learners along with productive, contributing members to our community, students engage in curriculum designed to identify feelings and emotions as well as create problem solving skills needed in almost any situation they will encounter.
This neighborhood school is a great place to learn and grow and we thank you for putting your trust in us! We look forward to a continued and collective commitment to your child and their growth!
Your partner in education,
Angela Funk
